Each center is equipped with WiFi, printer, fax and telephone for contacting employers. Improve your computer or typing skills and receive a typing certificate. Our library is complete with career information and handouts, information on local colleges and training providers, sample resumes and community resources. Individuals do not need to be enrolled to use our job center computers.

Mother Lode Job Training provides self-directed or staff assisted job search focusing on the identification of aptitudes, skills and experience of each individual job seeker and matching these to what may be of interest to an employer.
Need help navigating? Mother Lode Job Training staff will assist individuals in identification of career interests, personal strengths and weaknesses, and assist individual’s in establishing a plan. We can help identify resources to address barriers and skills gaps that are impediments to employment in the individual’s chosen occupation.
Job seekers can build their job seeking skills by participating in workshops that can help provide you with a competitive advantage. Workshops are designed to assist in the development of employment applications, resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, appropriate dress, posture and body language supporting interview success.
During the OJT, employees are familiarized with the working environment they will become apart of. You'll get a hands-on experience using machinery, equipment, tools, materials, etc. Part of on-the-job training is to face the challenges that occur during the performance of the job. Upon satisfaction of completion of the training, the employer may retain participants as regular employees.
Need work experience or want to explore an occupation? Mother Lode Job Training partners with local employers and businesses to create paid and unpaid work experience and internship opportunities. Mother Lode Job Training staff will work with youth and adults that are interested in gaining work experience or in exploring an occupation.
