Eligible

Training Providers

The Mother Lode Workforce Development Board (MLWDB) uses federal, state and other special funding to pay for training under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The training programs must be in locally or state defined demand occupations. MLWDB's local Eligible Training Provider List includes the State ETPL and local board approved trainings. The State ETPL can be found by visiting the CalJOBS ETPL webpage. A list of our Local Board Approved Training Providers can be found here.

For training providers who desire to be listed on the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL):
Training programs must achieve a minimum 70% entered employment rate or higher in the training occupational area within two years of nomination and maintain that rate every year thereafter. Qualified Training Providers will be included on the statewide list and become eligible to receive referrals of individuals eligible for subsidized training under WIOA.

It is required that Training Providers be accredited by a State of California recognized accrediting organization before any application will be considered for nomination. If your school is not a public education entity or a facility providing a Department of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) registered apprenticeship training program (www.dir.ca.gov/das/), then you must also be registered with the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ Bureau of Private Post Secondary Education (www.bppe.ca.gov).

Training Providers interested in having their programs nominated to the statewide approved list must:

  1. Review the CalJOBS Quick Reference Card (see link below);

  2. Request a USER login in CalJOBS (www.caljobs.ca.gov), if you are not a registered USER in CalJOBs;

  3. Enter the required school information into CalJOBS (if the school does not exist in CalJOBs);

  4. Enter the required Training Program Information into CalJOBS;

  5. Submit to the MLWDB a completed Training Provider Data Change Request (see link below for form) along with the following documents:

      a) Current Accreditation Letter from a State of California recognized accreditation institution,

      b) Current BPPE Approval Letter (if applicable),

      c) Current Liability Insurance, and

      d) Training Program Expense Detail Sheet (see link below for form) for each training program.

      e) ETPL Assurance Form

Send complete documentation package via email to info@mljt.org.

MLWDB will determine the eligibility of each program(s) in accordance with the State of California Directive(s) and our local procedures. Inclusion on the statewide and local ETPL does not guarantee your school or training program will receive referrals from MLJT WIOA clients. Our policy drives for informed customer choice when choosing a school and training program. Our participants will choose the school and training program based on their own research and needs to ensure their success.

If you have any questions, please call 209-588-1150 and ask for the ETPL Coordinator.
